David I Tobar, ASLA, Owner
David Tobar has 20+ years of comprehensive experience involving design and planning for public infrastructure, urban parks, residential communities and resort developments.
He thrives on the face-to-face collaboration with stakeholders required to develop successful implementation and construction strategies.
After receiving his BLA from Michigan State University (1989) and MLA from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona (1991), David worked for prestigious architecture firms Albert Kahn Associates and Hamilton Anderson Associates. He launched Outside Partnership LLC in 2009.
Licensed in seven states, David received his Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Board Certification in 2002 and LEED 2.0 Accreditation in 2004.
As a former American Society of Landscape Architects Michigan Chapter president, current Ferndale Brownfield Redevelopment Authority member and current Michigan State University Landscape Architecture Program Board Member, he is committed
to the beautification of urban and civic spaces throughout Michigan and beyond.
David lives in Ferndale, Michigan, with his wife Stacey and their two children.
